Bonifay Man Arrested for Possession of Listed Chemicals

Michael A. Perkins Jr. of Bonifay, W/M, 36 was arrested following a traffic stop.  Officer J. Webb conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 77 in Chipley, on Monday April 9^th, 2012, of a vehicle in which Perkins was a passenger.  An investigation following the traffic stop conducted by the Washington County Drug Task Force found that Perkins had purchased cold medicine containing pseudoephedrine with the intent of delivering medication for the manufacture of methamphetamine. Perkins was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked and remained in the custody of the Washington County Jail.  Perkins was out on bond for similar charges in a neighboring county at the time of his arrest.

 

The Washington County Drug Task Force consists of Investigators from the Chipley Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
