OPP:   We are getting reports from Opp, there is a bad wreck in Opp at the intersection of Hghway 134 and the by pass. Reports are the accident is a bad accident where there is possible entrappment.

Reports are a medical helicopter is enroute to the scene for patients.

We are receiving multiple reports of the accident and information on the accident.

 

UPDATED By Marty: It is confirmed in this picture that there was a Coffee County Sheriff's Deputy that was involved in this crash. The Deputy is reported to have escaped the crash without any injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was flown to a hospital with life threatening injuries. Below is a picture of the Coffee County Sheriff's Dodge Charger on a wrecker.

Coffee County Sheriff Dave Sutton confirmed there was an accident in Opp involving a Coffee County Deputy and another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was life flighted to a Montgomery Hospital.

The Coffee County Deputy is being treated and released from the hospital.

Sheriff Sutton said prayers are with all that was involved in the accident.

Following the accident the Coffee County Deputy involved was out of the patrol car and assisting the other persons in the accident. Sources say the Sheriff Deputy was not at fault in the accident.
