Battens, AL: Elba Communications has just dispatched Coffee County Sheriff's Deputies to a situation in the Battens area. Reports are there has possibly been a shooting. NO ONE is reported injured at this time. It is only reported that a subject shot at several other subjects. Coffee County Sheriff's Deputies are enroute to the scene at this time and should be there shortly. I will update, when they arrive on scene, the location of the incident. I am not releasing the whereabouts right now due to deputies still enroute.

Coffee County Sheriff Dave Sutton advised the call last night was tha an individual fired a weapon up in the air. No one was charged and there was no criminal intent or activity.  No one was shot..
