BREAKING NEWS: Dothan Police Officer Calls for Backup

DOTHAN AL - Dothan Police and Houston County Deputies are out on East Powell Street with an officer that has been struck by a vehicle. The officer had made a traffic stop on a vehicle and then he called out 10-33. (emergency traffic only on the radio) back up from other Dothan Police Officers and the Houston County vice unit responded to the officer's Call for help. reports are the officer only received minor injuries to his knee. Dothan Fire is now on the scene checking out the officer. One person was taken into custody. No more information is available at this time.

The officer has been checked and has desided that he is ok. Dothan Fire has cancelled the ambulnace responding and return to service.
