BREAKING NEWS: Highway 231 South At Big Creek Vehicle Overturned With Entrappment

HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County 911 dispatched emergency units to Highway 231 South and double bridges. The SUV was overturned and persons were ejected.
While responding to the scene Houston County 911 they reported multiple persons ejected and on the ground.
Houston County Sheriff Deputy James Ivey was the first officer on the scene. A volunteer member of Hodgesville Volunteer Fire was the first fore unit on the scene.
One patient was still trapped in the vehicle. One patient was on the ground on the northside of the accident with trauma. Several patients, to make a total of 7 patients, were treated and transported to the hospital.
Medical units from Rehobeth Rescue, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire, Dothan Fire Engine 2 ( Lakewood ) Dothan Batallion Chief Danny Aplin, Pilcher' Ambulance and CARE Ambulance responded to assist.
Multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies to include Chief Deputy Donald Valenza and Cottonwood Police responded. The entire northbound lanes of traffic were closed. Cottonwood Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies opened the southbound lanes to a two lane road to move traffic.
The SUV, which was northbound, appeared to have scrubbed the bridge, ran off the road, over corrected and flipped 5 times.
Alabama State Troopers Scott Lee and Trooper Rogers are investigating the accident.
