BREAKING NEWS: Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Locates Body Of Missing Bluewater Bay Woman

UPDATE @ 4:30 :  OCSO LOCATES BODY OF MISSING BLUEWATER BAY WOMAN
The body of a missing Bluewater Bay woman was located Thursday afternoon in the waters off Ward Cove. Deputies had been searching for 36-year old Jacquelyn Emerson of 4292 Skipjack Cove since Wednesday evening, after her husband reported her missing when he arrived home from work. He found her personal belongings such as her cell phone and purse still inside the house. He says he had last talked to her around 12:30 that afternoon.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office used multiple K-9 units to search the area Wednesday evening and today issued a missing person/endangered adult bulletin. Their ongoing search was joined today by numerous volunteers. Sheriff’s Office Marine patrol deputies searching the waterways spotted Emerson’s body around 1:45 this afternoon.
While an investigation into the circumstances continues, no foul play is suspected at this time. An autopsy will be conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office wants to inform residents in the Bluewater Bay area near Niceville that both law enforcement officers and dozens of military volunteers are currently searching that area for missing endangered adult Jacquelyn Emerson. ( as of 1 p.m. September 12th)
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered adult. 36-year old Jacquelyn Anne Emerson of 4292 Skipjack Cove is missing from her Bluewater Bay area home and is believed to have left on foot, possibly wearing flip flops, a T-shirt, and shorts. A family member last had contact with Jacquelyn around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon and says she was not home when he returned from work around 5 p.m. Her purse and phone however were still inside the residence.


Jacquelyn is about 5’2” tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has hazel eyes and brown hair.


Anyone with information on Jacquelyn’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7400.
