EMS and Sheriff's Deputies are rolling to a report of a serious critical wreck in Barbour County. The wreck is reported to be on County Road 51.Reports are coming in that at least one has died.

Update Press Release: Barbour County -- At 10:25 p.m. June 16, a two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Barbour County teenager and injured four others. The crash occurred on Alabama 51 approximately one mile south of Clayton at the 48 mile marker. Tevin Devante Richardson, 18, of Clayton was killed when the 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass in which he was a passenger struck a 2000 Dodge Neon driven by Michelle Regina Walker, 50, of Clio. The initial investigation indicates that the Cutlass was traveling north when it moved into the southbound lane and struck the Neon. The driver of the Cutlass, Marshun Rodrequiez McClendon, 21, of Clayton, and passenger Johny Lewis Russell, 27, of Ozark were injured and taken to Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula. Passenger James Edward Herring, 31, of Clayton also was injured and was air-lifted by Life Saver to a hospital in Columbus, Ga. Richardson was pronounced dead on scene. Walker was transported to Dale Medical Center in Ozark. No other information is available at this time as troopers are still investigating.
