Update: BREAKING NEWS:Traffic Accident With Fatality

DOTHAN: Dothan Police and Dothan Fire are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident with a fatality.
The accident location is Columbia Highway at Sixth Avenue intersection. The accident involves the Dothan Fire brush vehicle. A vehicle pulled in front of the fire department vehicle.
The fatality is in the vehicle that pulled into the path of the fire department vehicle. At this time UNCONFIRMED we do not believe the fire vehicle was running emergency.
Columbia Highway and Sixth Avenue are closed. We are holding scene photographs at this time.

A school bus was traveling east on Main at Sixth Avenue. The bus was in the outside lane and turning right off Columbia Highway onto Sixth Avenue.
The Dothan Fire brush vehicle was also traveling east on Columbia and was traveling in the inside lane. The other vehicle, a small passenger car, was traveling north on Sixth Avenue. It appears when the driver saw the bus turning they pulled from the stop sign. As they did they pulled into the path of the fire vehicle. The fire vehicle had seconds to react. The point of impact was the left front of the fire vehicle which struck the car in the driver's door.
The fireman was transported by Pilcher's Ambulance to a Dothan hospital, non emergency. The person driving the passenger car was dead on the scene.
Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has been called to the accident scene.
Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams is on the scene. Dothan Police Major Steve Parrish is on the scene.
Dothan Police are investigating the accident.
The fire department vehicle was NOT running emergency.
Update:
According to officials the one child in the passenger car were all transported to the hospital by ambulance, Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd has picked up the fatality and has taken it to the Medical Center.
Update: The driver of the has been identified as 41 year old Floretha Bryant of Dothan.
