BREAKING NEWS: Vehicle Accident With Entrapment and Hot Utility Lines

DOTHAN: Dothan 911 Center has dispatched a motor vehicle accident in the 300 block of North Saint Andrews Street to a vehicle verses a utility pole with live electrical lines down in the roadway.
The one vehicle has clipped a utility pole and live electrical lines are laying across the car and on the ground.
Dothan Fire Engine, CARE Ambulance and Dothan Police are on the scene. Dothan Utilities is rolling to the scene to cut the power in order to extricate the injured from the accident.
The 300 block of North Saint Andrews Street is closed for a period of time.
Dothan Police are investigating the accident.

Dothan Utilities responded to the scene and cut power to the hot lines which allowed EMS and Fire access to the patient. Patient has been extricated and transported by ambulance to a hospital
A eye witness traveling the opposite direction said the vehicle all of a sudden swerved to the right and struck the pole. The south bound eye witness said she "gassed it" to get out of the way of the falling power lines.
