BREAKING NEWS: War Zone in Dothan and Houston County

DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: Around 10:40 pm Houston County Deputies were dispatched to a report of Shots fired and someone screaming for help in the 6000 block of Hodgesville Road. Deputies arrived on the scene and reported they had one inside with a long gun. Deputies were able to make contact with the subject and he laid down the rifle and spoke to deputies.

While we were on this scene Dothan Police and Dothan Fire were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Flower Chapel Road. One person was transported to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Dothan Police.

While this was going on Dothan Police were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 600 block of Pinecrest Drive. When officers arrived they did a quick search the call was changed to a suspicious circumstances.

While this call was going on Dothan Police were dispatched to another burglary in progress call at 704 Bernard Street. Report that a 19 year old white male was last seen runing toward Montevallo. The male suspect was wearing blue jeans and no shirt or shoes. Police searched the area but did not turn up the suspect.

NOTE: All of this happened with 30 mins of the first call being dispatched. Also the phots below are of the Shots Fired and the Wreck.

Dothan and Houston County 911 Centers were slammed. They did an amazing job with all that was thrown at them in a short period of time. phones ringing and radios sounding everywhere. Multiple emergencies in every direction.
