DOTHAN: The Dothan Commission is set to address the proposal for the “brown bag” ordinance at the Commission Meeting on Tuesday for the National Peanut Festival, in particular for TOADLICK 2013. This needs to be approved.
The developer of TOADLICK has asked for this to be approved. The TOADLICK focus is the musical concert and not on food or alcohol sales.
The 2013 TOADLICK focus is for people to have a good time. For the people to attend and enjoy themselves, bring their own food and drinks, either alcohol or non-alcohol.
The TOADLICK 2013 is doing something the City of Dothan and Houston County governments have failed to do – that is bring entertainment. The kick off year was 2012 and they are working hard to make 2013 a success for people to have a good time without spending a fortune.
TOADLICK 2012 was successful. The people were managed, it was a safe environment, and people in attendance had a good time. The developers have ways schools can make some money in TOADLICK. The Houston County School System is on board and if Dothan Supt. Tim Wilder will return the developer’s call, then Dothan can make some money in TOADLICK 2013.
Again, that is if Tim Wilder will return the calls left for him from the TOADLICK developer. I assured him that you would!!! Ahh…this week!
I trust and hope the Dothan Commission will approve the request for the brown bag ordinance. The event will be good entertainment for the people of the wiregrass area. Good clean entertainment that is cost effective.
THANKS to the TOADLICK Developer for your willingness to provide the event for the second year in a row. We understand the first few years are ones that you lose money. Thanks for your support.
THANKS to Dothan Police Chief Greg Benton for your support of the TOADLICK 2013. I know your department is very capable in managing the event in areas that TOADLICK employ you to manage. To the ABC ( Alabama Beverage Control Board ) thanks for your support of TOADLICK 2013. I am sure you can manage the event.
