COFFEE COUNTY, AL: Battens Fire was dispatched to a brush fire this afternoon in the 4900th block of Coffee County Road 643. Battens Fire Chief actually called the fire in. He drove by the fire and noticed it out of control. It is reported the fire started from a camp fire from last night that was left unattended. Battens Fire extinguished the fire.
