SLOCOMB:    This past Friday my son, John Curtis and I, went to Slocomb and ate at Pallets Bar and Grill.


The building's inside decor is from wooden pallets. The table and chairs are made from pallets. I have seen the Pintrist postings of things being built from pallets but that was my first time in seeing the acual finished product. It was neat and creative.


While this was my first visit, John Curtis, Poot and Tara had been before. John Curtis had told me about it and said the food was good. And he was right.


Pallets Bar and Grill, their motto is "come as you are...our tables ain't level, our corners ain't square, but your belly will be round when you leave. We want you to get back to sitting in grandad's barn and telling stories, put the phone down and enjoy some conversation with other folks around you, enjoy some good food and drinks, reclaim your laid back moments in life..."


The food is good. They have hamburgers, cheesburfers, mushroom swiss, patty melt, BBQ, fried shrimp, fish and chips, rib eye steaks, hotdogs, catfish plates and other items. Food is good and prices reasonable.


Pallets Bar and Grill is located on the east side of Slocomb across from Wal-Mart Express. They are open Wednesday - Thursday 10:30 AM until 9:00 PM ( closed 2 - 4 PM ), Friday and Saturday 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM ( closed 2 - 4 PM ).


Great atmosphere and food.
