UPDATED @ 10:04 AM

This call had multiple law enforcement response to the scene yesterday. There was a brief stand off by law enforcement officers as they investigated.

The person reporting the burglary had a bizarre story to officers. The story was that someone "inside" the bean bag hollered and someone "behind" the bean bag moved and he ran from the house. This made the officers look at each other.

The person reporting mother asked him had he taken his Ambien ( sleeping medicine ). He had. It was determined that the sleeping pills was having a dramatic effect on the person reporting and it was not an actual burglary.

Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza and members of the department had excellent response based on the reports of a burglary in progress.
