Cakes for Haley a huge success proceeds being delivered next week

DOTHAN:    With a great inspiration in his heart, Steve Hardwick has been able to help several individuals that have had needs in their families.

The most recent being for Haley Forrest and her two beautiful daughters.

Haley’s husband, Jacob Forest, was tragically killed several months ago in an automobile accident on Hodgesville Road. It was evident from evidence left at his  shop that he was building a rose Trellis and wagons for his wife and daughters. 

 Following Jacob’s death friends of the family and church members finished the projects Jacob was working on  when his life was tragically taken.

For the past several years Haley has been fighting major medical issues. Since Jacob’s dearth she has undergone more major medical issues while caring for our two beautiful daughters.

Haley is helped by her parents and Jacob’s parents, David and Joy Kirkland and Bobby and Glenda Forrest.

The need was brought to Steve Hardwick’s attention. Steve is not one to just hear of a problem and do nothing. Steve Hardwick is one roll up his sleeves and go to work.

So from his kitchen Steve started cooking poundcakes. And he cooked well over 140 pound cakes. One by one in his residential kitchen and residential oven. Cooking delicious poundcakes and delivering them.

 I recently asked Steve why don't you go into the business of cooking poundcakes. He had an interesting response, that would not be any fun because what I do now directly help someone with a need. 

 By the way Steve pays for the ingredients and the electricity to cook all these poundcakes Himself.  Some other volunteers help Steve cook cakes and donated the ingredients they used. 

 Steve owns Hardwick Floor Covering on Westgate Parkway in Dothan.  Your support to his business allow Steve to continue his support to others. Or if you would like to contribute to help pay for the poundcakes  contact Steve.  That was Rickey’s comments not from Steve. 

 This next week Steve will meet Haley and her two beautiful daughters and present to her $ 9,000. 00
