DOTHAN:   The G E Plant on Hodgesville Road is closing their doors. The time will be October 31, 2010...one year from now.

The GE Corporate will give employees 60 days to come up with ideas of how to keep the plant open. If they are not successful 85 employees will be jobless. Some are eligible for retirement.

This morning I called Alabama Governor Bob Riley and asked for a statement of what he was GOING to do in helping this area with jobs. I told them we wanted a statement of actions and not talking.

When and if they issue the statement we will update.
