For the past 4 weeks, The Alfred Saliba Center for Families has held a 4-week “job-simulated BOOT CAMP” called Camp H.I.R.E. (Helping Individuals Retain Employment). This Camp is modeled after a program called STRIVE which operates a similar program in Atlanta Georgia at New HOPE Enterprises. The ATL program is three years old and boasts a 70% job retention rate for its graduates. This percentage is higher than any government funded program in the United States. Also 76% of their graduates become employed.
CAMP H.I.R.E. proposes to play a vital role in decreasing the unemployment rate and increasing the job retention rate in the population of consumers who use our services.
