Campbellton man arrested for possession of Cocaine and Marijuana

On February 26, 2013, Kelvis Tremayne Britt, B/M, 31 years of age was arrested by Chipley Police following a traffic stop.  Officers with the CPD conducted a traffic stop of a Chevrolet Silverado after observing it leave a closed business during the late hours of the night.  During the course of the traffic stop Officers observed the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle.  A search was conducted of the vehicle where cocaine was located concealed in the vehicle near the area Britt had been sitting.  Due to the strong odor of marijuana Officers believed it had been present in the vehicle at the time of the stop.  Officers searched the immediate area surrounding the vehicle and located a bag containing marijuana.

Kelvis Britt was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on the charges of Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Marijuana.
