Join Landmark Park for the annual benefit car show on October 1, 2016 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Over 100 collector cars, trucks and vehicles will be on display throughout the day. Trucks will be the featured vehicle. Trophies will be given for the top 50 cars. If you are interested in participating in the show, registration will take place the morning of the show from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and the cost is $10 (includes admission). The first 100 cars will receive dash plaques and goodie bags. General public admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids and free for members. The Car Show is sponsored by Durden Outdoor, The Joy 94.3 FM, and WDHN TV 18.

Visitors will also have a chance to win $500 at the annual drawing. If you are interested in participating, purchase tickets at Landmark Park for $2 each. Tickets may be purchased the day of the show and you do not have to be present to win.

Begun in 1983, the car show has generated over $100,000 for the operation and maintenance of the park during the past 33 years. This would not have been possible without the numerous volunteers, auto enthusiasts and local car clubs who have participated or helped host this event. For more information, please call the park office at 334-794-3452 or visit www.landmarkparkdothan.com.

Landmark Park is a 135-acre natural science and history museum located on the outskirts of Dothan.  Features of the park include nature trails, a planetarium, playground, picnic areas, an elevated boardwalk, a turn-of-the-century farmstead with sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, cows and other farm animals and crops typical of an 1890s farm.  In addition, the park includes a drugstore with operating soda fountain, one-room school, general store, and historic church, all preserved from the surrounding area. The park is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.  Regular daily admission is $4 adults, $3 for children and is free for park members and children age 2 and under.  The park is located on U.S. Hwy 431 North, three miles north of Dothan’s Ross Clark Circle.  For more info, call 334-794-3452 or visit  www.landmarkparkdothan.com
