RICHMOND, Va. (March 26, 2014) – CarMax, Inc. (NYSE: KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, officially opened its first store in Dothan, Ala., located at 2756 Ross Clark Circle. The store is more than 4,400-square-feet, occupies approximately 3.7 acres and stocks approximately 120 used vehicles of a wide variety makes and models.

In celebration of the Dothan store opening, CarMax is donating $2,500 to the local nonprofit Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity. The charity was selected for its positive impact on the local community.

CarMax opened its first store in Richmond, Va., more than 20 years ago after the company
surveyed thousands of consumers to find out what they liked and disliked about car shopping. CarMax was designed according to the survey responses, giving consumers what they asked for:
