Carol Bedsole has been chosen Parade Marshall for the 2014 Headland Christmas Parade set for Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6pm. The parade theme is “A Caroling Christmas Parade.” She will lead the parade through the downtown area followed by bands, floats, queens, dignitaries, horses and Santa Claus.


Mrs. Bedsole has been a vital part of the Headland and Henry County community for many years. She has served tirelessly in her home church, First Baptist Church of Headland, and in many organizations and events throughout the county.


Mrs. Bedsole was awarded the Burdeshaw-Solomon Volunteer of the Year award in March 2014. She volunteers at the senior center assisting with activities and travel, preparing
