EUFAULA: This past Saturday evening/Sunday morning, Chad Hammond was Following his calling in life of working to save lives.
While working with Haynes Ambulance Lifeflight, Chad and two co-workers flew to a motor vehicle accident in order to rapid transport a injured patient to a medical facility.
After safely landing on the accident scene, Chad and others loaded the injured in the life flight air transport and departed the scene enroute to a medical facility.
Then something went wrong and the air transport crashed.
Chad Hammond is a hero. His life, and three others, tragically ended. But their mission in life was devoted to saving lives.
While all of the answers might never be known, we know that Chad and his co-workers mission in life was to save lives.
On Friday April 1, at 3 PM, Celebration of Life Services will be held at Parkview Baptist Church in Eufaula Alabama for Chad Hammond. The services will be at 3, but visitation will begin at 12 noon there at the church. Visitation will continue from 12 noon until service time.
Chapman Funeral Home in Eufaula is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
We will be posting the others funeral arrangements. Families have worked together to make them at different times so friends and fellow workers can pay their respects to these heroes.
While it is not easy to any of the families, from the pilot, medic, nurse and the injured, THANKS for allowing the community to celebrate with you the example each set for others in the lives they lived.
