DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: Lance Griffin with the Dothan Eagle did an article concerning the CERT ( Certified Emergency Response Team ) of Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management.
EMA Director Chris Judah is doing a wonderful job in promoting Emergency Management, introducing the agency to the public, once again. And Judah is working to get volunteers active and involved.
But what I have found interesting is members of the Houston County Commission have asked when they got the new trailer.
Well, five years ago. It could have been used recently in the search of the young lady who was missing for a week and was found murdered. But instead it sit at the old Houston County Farm Center not in a condition for use.
This is solely the fault of Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver. He knew there were problems. He knew those problems long before the ball was getting dropped. Chairman Culver was not honest with the four voting members of the Houston County Commission.
Culver placed people's lives in danger. Culver can not make a motion or vote unless a tie. He has not been honest with the four voting members.
But Commissioners like Jackie Battles have let and continue to let Chairman Culver lie to the public.
So to the four commissioners who did not know the CERT Trailer is four to five years old.
We just have a working Emergency Management Direct with a useless self serving liar who is County Commission Chairman. A some county commissioners who do everything Mark Culver tells them to do, like Jackie Battles.
QUOTE FROM THE ARTICLE
We want people to know what EMA is all about and give people an opportunity to be a part of it,” Judah said. “There may be situations where searches have to be conducted over large areas or there may be situations where there is a long-term law enforcement or other emergency response operation and they need to be served in cooperation with the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. We want people to help in that process.”
