My name is Charles Douglas, and I would like to serve you as the next Mayor of Kinsey. I am a graduate of Headland High School and my family and I have lived in Kinsey for 49 years. Me and my wife have spent 15 wonderful years together. I have a son named Jordan. He has been married to his wife Whitney for 3 years. They have twin girls named Rylee and Sophia Douglas. I have a daughter named Baylee. She has recently married Joseph Daum, and they are in the process of starting their life together.


I started my career in 1987 as an employee of the Town of Kinsey. I served the Town of Kinsey for 5 years as their water system operator. I  went to school and received my water operator certification from the State of Alabama Department of Environmental Management. I have served many small towns other than Kinsey in my career. I have served as the Operator of the Quintmar Water System in Laverne Al. I have served as the Director of Public Works for the City of Ashford. I spent several years employed by the Houston County Water Authority. I am presently employed by the Town of Taylor I serve as their Maintenance Supervisor. 


In 1996 I was elected as a Councilman for the Town of Kinsey. Serving the people of Kinsey for past 20 years has been a great joy. Know, I want to serve the citizens of Kinsey as their Mayor. I feel like with my experience and knowledge of serving the residents of Kinsey and other small towns. I will be able to relate and understand your needs as a resident of Kinsey.
