Now is the time to get your Childhood Cancer Awareness T-Shirt. Once again this year, the Dothan Fire Department is selling shirts to raise funds for the Developmental Therapeutics Program for Childhood Cancer at Children’s Hospital. We are selling the shirts early this year in hopes that everyone will purchase a t-shirt to wear each Friday in September, which is the awareness month. The design is simple, reminding everyone about the Gold Ribbon month and that we are Still Fighting for Our Heroes. Our heroes are those children and families that are fighting or have fought the battle of childhood cancer.
These shirts are only $12.00 each and all proceeds will be donated to childhood cancer support and research. Order form is attached.
Finally, we will host our second Going for the Gold event on August 29, 2015 at Westgate Park. The day will start with a 5K run and include children’s activities, entertainment, food and even a Jeep Show! We encourage everyone to attend the event (more details coming) and wear your new Gold Ribbon T-shirt to Westgate Park on August 29th!
Additionally, we are seeking sponsors for this year’s event. Sponsor information is attached also. If you have questions please contact Chris Etheredge at 334-615-4522 or Mary Clark at 334-615-3500.
