Chipley man arrested during Search Warrant for Drug Charges

Howard Lamar Smith, 48, of Chipley was arrested during the late night hours on Saturday.  Members of the Washington County Drug Task Force, which consist of the Chipley Police Department and Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of 469B 2nd Street (Circle J Trailer Park) in Chipley, which concluded several months of investigation.  Officers found that Smith was in possession of a significant amount of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.  Howard Lamar Smith was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on charges resulting from the execution of the search warrant.
