Chipley Man Arrested on Drug Charges

(Chipley, FL; March 4, 2015)— The Washington County Drug Task Force, consisting of Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Chipley Police Department, reports the arrest of a Chipley man on drug trafficking charges.
On Tuesday, March 3, deputies with Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence at 1734 Clayton Road in reference to possible drug activity.
Upon arrival, deputies interviewed the residents and as a result Billy Shouppe was found to be in possession of marijuana packaged in baggies and containers of methamphetamines.
There was a subsequent search of the property where numerous items used in the manufacturing of drugs were found as well as digital scales, plastic baggies, and camping fuel.
Arrested and charged was:
Billy Gene Shouppe, 40 year old white male of 1734 Clayton Road Chipley, FL
· Manufacturing of Methamphetamines
· Trafficking of Methamphetamines
· Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
· Possession of Marijuana
