Chipley Police Charge Man with Armed Robbery and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On November 22, at approximately 7:06am, officers with the Chipley Police Department were dispatched to a residence on North 2nd Street in reference to a robbery. Dispatchers were able to advise the officers with a physical description of the suspect before the officers arrived at the victim’s home. One of the officers observed a subject fitting the description of the suspect walking on the street several blocks away from the victim’s home. One officer stopped and detained the subject while the other officer made contact with the victim. The victim advised the officer that a black male by the first name Simmie came to his home and ask to borrow money. The victim stated that he told the suspect he didn’t have any money. The victim stated the suspect then pulled a knife on him and threatened him with the knife if he didn’t give him money. The victim gave the suspect money and the suspect left the resident with the money and the victim’s cell phone. Officers arrested 39 year old Simmie Hudson of Joe Neel Road. Hudson was transported to the Washington County Jail where he has been charged with robbery with a weapon, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia (crack Pipe).
