Chipley Police Make Arrest Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Kidnapping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On August 8, 2012 Antonio Francis Leverett, age 31 of Vernon was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Kidnapping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers with the Chipley Police Department were dispatched to an altercation on North 2^nd Street in Chipley Florida, where a complaint had been made that a subject had made threats with a gun and fled into the woods.  Officers responded on scene and obtained a description and name of the subject as Antonio Leverett.  An investigation revealed that Leverett had forced a female subject to drive him to a location where he then threatened another subject at that location with the weapon.

Additional Officers arrived on scene and began a search to locate Leverett in the area.  A short time later an Officer found Leverett at a residence in the vicinity of where the incident occurred.  Leverett was taken into custody, where he was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Officers also located the weapon, which was discovered to be an Air Cartridge BB gun.
