CLARK APPOINTED ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DPS

[Montgomery, Ala.] Jack W. Clark has been appointed by Governor Robert Bentley as Assistant Director of the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Lt. Col. Clark started his career at DPS in 1993, and progressed through the department, most recently serving as Highway Patrol Assistant Division Chief. Additionally, Lt. Col. Clark has served on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) transition team and has been instrumental in helping shape the new agency. DPS Col. John E. Richardson said, “I am excited to have Lt. Col. Clark assist me in the day-to-day operations of our agency and look forward to working with him.”
A 30-year law enforcement veteran, Lt. Col. Clark is a well-respected throughout the state. Secretary of Law Enforcement Spencer Collier said, “Lt. Col. Clark has demonstrated his commitment to the State of Alabama and protecting its’ citizens for decades. His wealth of knowledge and experience is truly an asset for our State.”
Lt. Col. Clark replaces Kevin Wright who has accepted a position in Secretary Collier’s office.
