Coffee County man accused of abusing stepson

COFFEE CO., AL (WSFA) - A Coffee County man has been charged with child abuse, according to the Coffee County Sheriff's Office.


Jason Todd Branch, 35, is accused of abusing his stepson. According to the sheriff, the alleged abuse happened at the end of December.


Branch turned himself into authorities on Jan. 9. He has since been released on $15,000 bond.


The Alabama Department of Human Resources and the sheriff's office are investigating. No other information has been released.
