Conestoga Steakhouse Presented as "Top 5" restaurant in Alabama’sMatt Boster

The Conestoga Steakhouse in Dothan, AL was named in the "Top 5" for the Alabama’s Best Steak contest, sponsored by the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association. This announcement was made on September 26th at the fall board meeting held at the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association building. Local cattlemen were on site to honor the Conestoga this week. Online voting generated over 7000 votes in the last three months, and the Conestoga made the cut to continue on in the competition.
In the coming weeks, anonymous judges will be visiting each "Top 5" restaurant in order to determine the king of the steaks in Alabama. In the meantime, the Conestoga staff enjoyed a presentation by local cattleman, Richard Meadows, who appreciates the beef they sell during the year.
The winner of Alabama’s Best Steak will be announced by the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association on October 26
th at a special recognition on site of the winning restaurant. The restaurants receiving the most votes in the online contest were (alphabetical order): Conestoga Steakhouse, Dothan; FIRE Steakhouse, Atmore; McLin’s Restaurant, Daleville; Nick’s Ristorante, Huntsville and The Bright Star, Bessemer.
