CONVICTED FELON ARRESTED ON GUN AND DRUG CHARGES

On May 12, 2017, an officer with the Bonifay Police Department stopped a 2001 Silver Buick for a traffic infraction at the intersection of Banfill Avenue and McGee Road. 


The officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.  A probable cause search revealed suspected marijuana and three firearms.  The suspect was identified as Dana Lavon Lucious, black male, age 40 of Chipley, FL. 


Lucious was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana (<20 grams="" span="">  Lucious was transported to the Holmes County Jail for booking and first appearance.
