Cottondale Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

On Tuesday June 30, 2015, Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the residence located on Obert Road in Cottondale, Florida in reference to Civil Dispute/Disturbance. It was reported to responding Deputies that the suspect, identified as Willie Dean Cutchins, was involved in a domestic dispute with a female victim and allegedly ran the victims vehicle off the road in an attempt to prevent them from leaving with a child. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that during the altercation, Cutchins reportedly brandished a firearm and subsequently fired a shot at the ground in the direction the victims which included his wife and minor children. Statements and evidence discovered at the time of the investigation subsequently led to the arrest of Cutchins for five counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and two counts of Aggravated Child Abuse. Cutchins was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to Await first appearance. This incident did occur in Jackson County, Florida.
