HOUSTON COUNTY:    Court Watch:   Houston County Courthouse all Judges are in full action this morning.


There will be hundreds of people in the courthouse with criminal jury trials on going. All Circuit Court Judges will be having criminal jury trials - Judge Mendheim on  the second floor, Judge Moulton and Binford on the third floor, Judge Conaway and Anderson on the fourth floor.


On the second floor District Court Judge Benjamin Lewis will kick off with initial appearances at 8:30 AM. Persons in jail will appear via TV from the jail. That will be followed by bench trials for cases such as Violation of Protection Order, Domestic Violence, Criminal Solicitation, Possession of Marijuana, Unemployment Compensation Fraud, Harassment, Defrauding Secured Creditors.


Judge Lori Ingram has Juvenile Court.


In the Dothan City Court, Judge Rose Evans Gordon will have initial appearances on hundreds of misdemeanor cases. Today some will have to see the Court Referral Officer, some will plead guilty to the misdemeanor offense, and some will want trials and be given a new court date.
