Covenant Hospice Announces the Care with Flare 5K Run/Walk

Marianna, FL - The City of Marianna Fire Department & Covenant Hospice would like to invite you to join us at the CARE WITH FLARE 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Avenue , Suite E, Marianna. We are very excited to announce the addition of a Post-Race Celebration & Family Fun Day filled with food, drinks, games, inflatables, music and awards.  Formerly known as the Ladder Scatter 5K, the 2011 event boasted almost 150 runners and walkers.  “We are very excited to announce the name change and the additional activities to this year’s event” said Angela Jackson , Development Specialist for Covenant Hospice. 


Entries made by October 8, 2012 will be $20, receive a race packet, & t-shirt.  After October 8th, the cost will increase to $25, and t-shirt & race packet will be a first come first serve basis.  Registration will start at 7:30am the day of the event & the race will begin at 9:00 am.  The student entry fee will be $10.  There will also be a free kid’s one mile fun run for children under the age of 14.  Captain George Gay and the Marianna Fire Department will be serving their famous BBQ lunch plates for $5.  And, you can have unlimited play on inflatables, carnival games and exhibits for $5 per person until 2pm.     


Awards will be given in the following categories: Overall Male; Overall Female; ALL Age Groups Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female, Age Groups: 14 years old & Under 15-19 Years Old 20-24 Years Old 25-29 Years Old 30-34 Years Old 35-39 Years Old 40-44 Years Old 45-49 Years Old 50-54 Years Old 55-59 Years Old 60 Years Old & Up Wheeled Division.
