DALE COUNTY: This morning in Dale County begins a term of criminal jury trials.
Dale County Presiding Judge Kenneth Quattlebaum kicked off a 20 page docket of 72 cases as jury trials. The Dale County Sheriff Department comes off a 6 day stand off and dramatic rescue to back into court to manage the courthouse, manage defendants and be prepared to testify in court.
Thirty Third Judicial Circuit District Attorney Kirke Adams returns from the 6 day stand off to the courthouse to enter the courtroom to manage some 72 cases for trial or pleas. Adams and his staff has to be prepared for the trials on the cases scehduled, even after their involvement with the Sherif Department in the case of Ethan.
The District Attorney is the Chief Prosecutor of this circuit. While he does not command law enforcement his input on the scene is crucial. As the case develops he helps guide the officers into things they can do and can not do for the case to stand up in court.
Life back to normal in Dale County. Not any time for rest as the law enforcement and judicial officials return to work.
