HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County Commissioner Mark Culver was on LIVE AT LUNCH on WTVY-TV.
A couple of things about his interview. Culver talked about accomplishments in 2016 and one of his accomplishments he mentioned was Glasstream.
That announcement was April 3, 2014. Culver, who has a PHD in being a liar tried to make it 2016. But it was 2014 when the announcement was made.

Culver did go into a personal business with the founder of Glassstream daughter. So the economic development trip also was for personal gain to Mark Culver.
Culver also mentioned about some work to make sure when citizens call volunteers are in place. Well Mark Culver, Jackie Battles, Doug Sinquefield, Curtis Harvey and then Melinda McClendon...
It was four years ago that Rickey Stokes told you the "most important" agenda item of the Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director you were getting ready to appoint was addressing the volunteer fire and EMS in Houston County. This was when you hired Steve Carlisle as Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director.
And all you did was to give Steve Carlisle his THIRD government retirement. And he and staff destroyed Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management. And Mark Culver was told about the issues before we ever had our first storm. In fact Culver met with Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams over the issues.
But rather than have the best protection and service of the people of Houston County in mind, Culver, Battles, Sinquefield, Harvey and Shoupe were more interested in getting the thrid retirement.
So now Culver finally realizes that there are issues. It is not the fault of the volunteers because employers do not let people volunteer like they once did.
Culver also is setting the stage for the $ 1.2 BILLION DOLLAR tax increase he wants.
Next Culver bragged about creating jobs. Culver and his 4 comrades ( Battles, Sinquefield, Harvey and Shoupe ) tried to give the Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management job to someone who did not live in Dothan - Houston County.
Out of 56 applicants they picked 6 to interview and only one was local. They selected the one from Dothan - Houston County, Chris Judah. He was not a insider and it was not a rigged process. Judah will do a good job and will work hard to improve services and rebuild what Mark Culver, Jackie Battles, Doug Sinquefield, Curtis Harvey and Brandon Shoupe allowed to be destroyed.
But Mark Culver and his comrades tried to give our local job to someone from out of town.
