DALE COUNTY:    Dale County Sheriff Deputies and Skipperville Rescue on an assault, reported with a baseball bat and then with a pistol, somewhere in the Skipperville area. We have not gotten the exact location at this time. The parties were fighting when deputies arrived. There were about 15 parties in a fight. The deputies have reported they have parties separated at this time. We do not know the exact location.

Someone might need to call Mark Blakenship the Dale County Commission Chairman and let him know. He might need to go out there and risk his life to stop the fight!

No more information at this time.

The scene location was Mary Martha McClendon Road. One person was "grazed" by a bullet but was not "shot".

During the call additional manpower was requested. Alabama State Trooper were headed that way to assist the Dale County Sheriff Department.

Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson and members of the Dale County Sheriff Department are back on the scene on Mary Martha McClendon Road in the Skipperville community. And yes, Sheriff Olson personally at 9:17 PM on Thursday evening is on the scene with his deputies with the fight starting up again.
