Dale County Home Invasion

On April 1, 2016 at approximately 2:50 PMOzark/Dale County E911 received a call of a burglary in-progress in the 4000 Blk of West Hwy 134 in Daleville.  As deputies were responding to the scene an alert passerby noticed a suspicious vehicle traveling in the area near the victim’s home. A description and direction of travel was immediately broadcasted to the responding deputies and Daleville Police.  A short time later Daleville Police officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on Daleville Ave. As the vehicle came to a stop (4) black males exited the vehicle and began to flee. One subject was immediately apprehended while another fled into the parking lot of McLin’s Restaurant where he entered a vehicle and attempted to gain control from the driver.  The driver of the vehicle  was able to subdue the suspect until officers arrived. The (2) remaining suspects were able to flee the area. During the investigation it was determined that the victim in the burglary fired a shot from a handgun at one of the suspects as he entered his home. Dale County Sheriff’s Investigators have charged Tykis Wallace with Robbery 1^st, Theft of Property 1^st and Possession of Marihuana 2^nd and Denzel Williams with Robbery 1^st. Both subjects are being held at the Dale County Jail under no bond. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Daleville Police, Dothan Police Dept. K9 unit and the Enterprise Police Department.  We urge anyone with information on the robbery or the whereabouts of the (2) remaining suspects to please contact the Dale County Sheriff’s Office @ 774-5111.
