Dale County Man Assaults a Police Officer after Arrest

On 03/07/2013 Dale County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Royal Eugene Hogan 53 yoa of Midland City, Al and charged him with Assault 2nd. On 03/07/2013 Hogan was arrested by the Midland City Police Department for Domestic Violence 3rd and transported to the Dale County Jail. While Hogan was being transferred to a holding cell he assaulted a Newton Police Officer who was processing another inmate. The Officer received minor injuries. Hogan and the Officer involved have had no prior contacts.
