DALE COUNTY: On Wednesday Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson swore in three new Dale County Sheriff Deputies. Olson gave the oath in the Dale County Courthouse.
Some Dale County residents came to the Dale County Revenue Commissioners Office to purchase their car tags. They brought their three children.
The Dale County Sheriff Deputy assigned to the courthouse was very personable to the three young men. The Revenue Commissioner called Sheriff Olson and told him about the three young men.
The Sheriff Department is housed in a seperate building from the courthouse. Sheriff Olson and Dale County Sheriff Captain Kyle Anderson met the three young men. They spent some time talking to them.
Sheriff Olson then surprised the three with badges and swore them in as Junior Deputies.
While this was a special moment for the three young men, I think it was even more exciting for Sheriff Olson, Captain Anderson, the deputies assigned to the courthouse and the Revenue Commissioners Office. This few minutes of personable time can have a lifetime of positive impacts on their lives.
Congratulations to the three new deputies. Thanks to all who made it happen and to Sheriff Olson for his personable service.
