Escambia County, FL -


Officials in Escambia County are holding a news conference about the Missouri couple accused in a multi-state crime spree.


Blake Fitzgerald was shot and killed early Friday morning. Officials say he was armed.


Brittany Harper is in the process of being charged with home invasion robbery, false imprisonment and grand theft auto, officials in Escambia County say.


She is at Sacred Heart Hospital with injuries to her leg and ankle.


 Escambia Co. Sheriff David Morgan also confirmed that Fitzgerald used Harper as a shield during the gunfire exchange.
