COWARTS:  Houston County 911 has dispatched a serious critical accident on U.S. Highway 84 East and Jester Street in Cowarts. Reports are one patient is trapped, involves two vehicles.

A Dothan Fire Medic, off duty, is on the scene at this time.

Emergency units are rolling to the scene.

Rickey Stokes is responding.

There was a two vehicle accident on Highway 74 and Jester Street which is in front of Dairy Fresh.

There was entrappment due to a small car and a larger person. Cowarts Volunteer Fire used the jaws to open the door.

The injuries were not serious in nature. The entrappment was just due to impact on driver door, the larger person and small car.

Pilcher's Ambulanbce transported. Ashford Fire assisted Cowarts Fire.

Houston County Sheriff CID Lt. Arias and Spooner were the first units on the scene.

Houston County Sheriff Patrol Officer Allen Hendrickson also on the scene.

Alabama State Troopers in charge of the investigation.

NOTE:   Four off duty Dothan paramedics on the scene. Two work with Pilcher's Ambulance and two which were passing by.
