DEVELOPING: Body Found Behind Church In Henry County

HENRY COUNTY:   A private investigator looking for a missing person found a body behind church in Henry County.

Henry County Sheriff Department, Abbeville Police Department, members of the Henry County - Abbeville Task Force, Dothan Police Crime Scene Unit. Henry County Coroner Derek Wright and Alabama Game and Fish are on the scene in northern Henry County.

The Church, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, located at Henry County Road 37 and State Highway 95, in woods is where the body was located. The church has nothing to do with the body other than the fact the body was found in the woods behind the church.

Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox is very limited on the information being released. The identity of the deceased fist has to be deterimined. From that point investigators will then continue the investigation into exactly what has happened.
