DOTHAN:  Dothan Police Sgt. Cherry, while on routine patrol, came up on a white male who was attempting to break into K-Mart Southside in Dothan.

Sgt. Cherry jumped a white male on a bicycle who fled into the parking lot area of K-Mart South. Sgt. Cherry was trying to cover the busted door on the westside of the store at the garden center and the suspect at the same time.

Multiple Dothan Police units and Houston County Sheriff Deputies are in the area attempting to locate the suspect.

Dothan Police K-9 is tracking a suspect track from K-Mart towards The Barn. A bicycle has been found in the parking lot of The Barn.

Sgt. Cherry has requested a criminal investigator to be called out to respond to K-Mart as well as management of K-Mart.

Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies have established a perimeter in the area in an effort to locate the suspect or suspects.
