DEVELOPING: Dothan Police In Foot Chase On Virginia and South Park Area

DOTHAN: Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Units are in foot pursuit of a subject. The chase started on Virginia Drive just off West Main Street near Rudd Furniture. Police Officers apprehended on subject and the second subject fled on foot.
Officers surronded the area and were setting up a perimeter.
After several minutes the suspect was apprehended in the drainage ditch behind Unifirst.
We do not know at this time what the chase was over, however both suspects are in custody. But from the sound of the radio traffic, it was an exciting foot chase through yards and into the ditch and water drain area before apprehension. Dothan Police were setting up the perimeter area and the track dog and apprehension ( bite - bite ) K-9's were rolling that way.
The officers ( sadly ) apprehended before the suspect before the K-9 (bite - bite ) was deployed. Thus saving the defendant from some teeth marks in the buttocks...
