DEVELOPING: Major Round Up On Going In Macon - Elmore and Lee County

MACON - LEE - ELMORE COUNTY:  Reports are a major round up in Macon, Lee and Elmore Counties. More than 300 law enforcement officers have been invovled in the location and apprehended of many defendants.


The arrests are on the heels of a major undercover drug investigation which is reported to have been conducted by agents from the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and Alabama Beverage Control Board. Reports are 60 plus defendants are in custody so far on the operation which started around 5 AM this morning. Around 125 defendants total are expected to be arrested.


Law Enforcement from all across Alabama and the United States Marshall's Service Fugitive Task Force are all involved in the operation.
