We have a developing story in Dothan. Multiple Dothan Fire Engines are at 301 W. Lafayette which is at the Alfred Saliba Family Service Center (old Young Junior High School). Smoke is visible from inside the career center. There is no visible fire at this time. Dothan fire units and Pilcher's Ambulance have staged at this time. Fire units are connected to water and prepared to fight. There is smoke coming from around the window seals. There was also an outisde fire and they are trying to determine if the smoke was from this.
Multiple Dothan Fire units are staged for a level 1 fire, this means they are hooked to water and all equipment and personnel are ready if needed to fight a fire. Streets around this area are blocked off at this time. Please take a alternate route while this is ongoing.
Preliminary information is that there was work being done around the windows with a heat gun. This is being torn out to see if it is the cause of the smoke.
Rickey will update.
UPDATE 12:54: Most fire units have been released. They have put water on the hot spots around the windows.
