DOTHAN: There is a special election for Dothan Commissioner, District 6, tomorrow ( Tuesday ).
The special election is fill the permanent position of commissioner which was created on the resignation of Dothan Commissioner Hamp Baxley.
There are two people seeking election as Commissioner: David Crutchfield and Gary Roney.
In District 6, two polling places: Vaughn Blumberg Center on Flynn Road and the Community Room at Wiregrass Commons Mall.
The polls open at 7 AM and close at 7 PM.
Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz and members of Dothan Commission appointed Steve McCarroll to fill the temporary vacancy of District 6. The election is for the person which will serve the remainder of the term for District 6.
If you are a registered voter in District 6 in the City Limits of Dothan, then you are eligible to vote in this race.
UNDERSTAND:
1. This is only a election for Dothan Commissioner, District 6.
2. This is not a city wide, This is not a county wide, This is not a statewide, This is not a national election.
3. And you have three choices: David Crutchfield, Gary Roney, or a write in. That's it.
4. District 6 Dothan Commissioner race is the ONLY race on the ballot tomorrow.
